Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Some Enchanted Evening you found this Elegant white Rose bowed down awaiting for you, your flashlight and your camera.
She is one of a kind and has a soft silky look with petals gently folded like angel like wings.
She is dazzling, dramatic and oh so delicate in the soft light.
Fine focus, Controlled white balance giving her a soft luminous like glow.
I like the touch of midnight blue in lower left that may be just a shadow or the light from your flashlight.
Beautiful capture of this sophisticated fresh from the garden rose.
Nice work Doc ;)

aww...such a really nice review Sange. 'Some Enchanted Evening'....do you know I may be humming that the rest of the evening now....lol....don't know the words but remember hearing the melody as a young child. That blue in the lower corner....man oh man has that driven me nuts. For the life of me I cannot figure out what it is....probably something so simple I am just not thinking of it.....so thank you sooo much for liking it.....and for going back and having a look at this one. It is actually on my list of favorites from this summer and I included it in my reprints so I could use it on 2018 calendar.
Anyway, big smile for the gold star too!!!

Some enchanted evening, you may see a stranger,
You may see a stranger across a crowded room,
And somehow you know, you know even then,
That somehow you'll see here again and again.
Some enchanted evening, someone may be laughing,
You may hear her laughing across a crowded room,
And night after night, as strange as it seems,
The sound of her laughter will sing in your dreams.
Who can explain it, who can tell you why?
Fools give you reasons, wise men never try.
Some enchanted evening, when you find your true love,
When you hear her call you across a crowded room,
Then fly to her side and make her your own,
Or all through your life you may dream all alone.
Once you have found her, never let her go,
Once you have found her, never let her go.

lol...you crazy lady!! Really enjoyed seeing the words though Sange. Thank you!
-
Well...could not have you humming and singing the wrong words! You know how much I Love your singing!!!!!
But what is stuck in my head!! Bushel and a peck!
But my version of the song is way better!
HAHAHA
-

-

My, my, my, what have we here? Is this creation of art? I'll say that the artist who imagined this beauty is indeed powerful in many ways. Just the reflection shows the silky petals in the night. How gorgeous is that?

lol...you are wonderful Mama M. I'm afraid the only part of this I can take credit for (besides growing it) is photographing it. This shrub grows these beautiful silky white blossoms in all directions- sideways, upside down and right side up. I always think the upside down versions are gorgeous....especially in the evening. Thank you so much for going and having a look at this guy. I am always happy to see you at the end of a review and really do appreciate the marvelous review and gold star!!

Wow! Beautiful photo! The white of the petals with the green of the stem against the dark background are a lovely "opposite". God's beauty is well-shown here.

New member Kay, yes?? I think this may be the first time I've seen you at the end of a review. I am surrounded by beauty in my gardens and am pleased to have you acknowledge God's beauty in my ROSE. Thank you so much for having a look and especially for sharing one of your gold stars w/ it. I do appreciate THAT as well.

I only gave you ONE? *Gasp* I don't know how THAT happened! I truly meant to give AT LEAST a 4.5
-
LOL...no no Kay- you gave it a most excellent rating. In fact, the best you could. Thank you so much. I DO really appreciate it. The gold stars only show up when a reviewer gives a 'six' rating. That's a gold star.

Oh! Thanks for explaining!

Excellent! The dark background shows the color purity perfectly. Very nice detail. I love the creative approach of taking your shot of the back of this rose. I find myself taking as many pics of the backs as I do the front. They are equally as gorgeous and usually overlooked by most. I very much enjoyed reading your story as well. Very informative! Your border is also a nice touch and just right. Great Work! Impressive. Thank you for Sharing and Keep up the Stand Out Photos You have an Amazing Talent ;)

I could not agree more Lisa that the backs of so many lovely blossoms are often completely ignored....and they are typically just as interesting as the fronts are. Do appreciate you checking out my latest piece and thank you for the very fine review you've given it.

Beautifully done, and most interesting approach! Shows artistic talent not just the ability to take a photo. This is quite special! Great job

Hello Deb
It takes a minute to adjust to the composition of this image. I wondered why the upside down positioning but then I asked myself why not.
I like the soft feel of the petals here and love the great detail in the main petal just to the right of center.
The black background is a natural and perfect for the subject. The stem is a healthy green suggesting the bloom will be with us for some time.
I would not be tempted to cut this one early. I think it is interesting and healthy and a pleasure to view.
I have 37 rose bushes in my back yard and I would be delighted if this were one of them.
Nice rose and a delightful image.
Regards
Roger

Oh my goodness Roger....37 ROSE bushes! WOW! This ROSE here grows on a Shrub.....a little different from- say Tea ROSES. It has gotten so large it is almost a hedge and it is starting to overpower everything else in the bed. I am thinking of giving it quite a cut-back this Autumn. There are so many blossoms on it that they grow in all directions....the one in this image is exactly as it grew....so unusual I really liked it. Thank you so much for such a lovely review...I do appreciate you checking this one out and I am flattered that you would add my pretty white ROSE to your collection.

A ghostly capture with subtle illumination casting the softest highlight & faintest shadows...
Creative inverted concept. Innovative unique approach. Imaginative presentation.
Sharply focused fine features & textures.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF. Thanks for sharing...

It is obvious that you love the fruits of your efforts, from the narative of your efforts to nurture them through your short growing period. That takes a special person, with special love for what she hopes to accomplish. Your "Sun goes down Rose" deserves more then SIX-stars. For the effort alone...but the rose that grows and glows within you is............ priceless!

THAT is one of the nicest things a reviewer has ever said to me Ken. Thank you so much for your very touching comment. I appreciate you checking out my new piece and a big thank you as well for sharing one of your gold stars w/ my ROSE. You know I think it may be precisely because of the very short season here that I appreciate the flowers so much......and I am flattered for you to have noticed that.

Comment from Life is but a dream.
Your photograph projects a mood for the viewer.
An image taken in the quietude of evening and how appropriate for the bloom to be upside...end of day. (symbolism)
The outermost whorl of flower parts, dance with a diaphanous skirt and because of the curl we feel a breeze.
I love the separation of sepals as they add to the dance of the flower.
My only suggestion to clean this up somewhat would be to remove the dark blue hues beneath the flower.
As for the frame....yes, thumbs up.

LOL...do you know that for the life of me Olga I can not figure out what that is. I have walked around both shrubs AND the big rock and STILL cannot decide where that blue comes from....but do agree it doesn't do much for my image. Love your depiction of my blossom as a dancer....I could see it as I was taking these photos. Thank you so much for having a look.....and for the wonderful review....oh, and the thumbs up for the frame (I am OC when it comes to them)
