A stunning, vibrant, well-balanced piece of work. Colors are complimentary; the artist has utilized a unique palette. The artist has been able to create a sense of peace at the same time as evoking a sense of wonder. From Seagrass to sea to seagulls, a truly exceptional piece.

You are so good at selecting and blending the nicest colors. I like how the greens and yellows in the water have a soft misty appearance. The white caps provide a nice sense of motion and a sparkly appearance to the water. The grasses and clouds are realistic with fine detail and shading.

It's another beautiful picture, I love the colors and how your flowers/ foreground are in your paintings, the only thing again is the signature is not totally straight,we talked about this before, your idea of making a stencil is a good one lol. The painting itself is tops be proud of this one

Thank you so very much. I?m going to do the stencil because that crooked signature bugs my sense of symmetry. 😂
-
ha ha yup, maybe a ruler or a stamp
-
Stamps are tough with pastels!
-
you know that is why i think your name is not straight, very hard to do, i do pastels as well. it is hard to get right
-
I?ll let you know how the stencil works out.

Comment from Life is but a dream.
Linda, the very first thing that I was attracted to with your piece was the breezy feel. Those wispy clouds are perfect and the blowing grasses (sea oats? I never knew that) do always blow and add to the feeling of airiness.
Your colour palette is vibrant and excites visually just like the emotive quality of this art.
Your composition with the inclusion of those three birds draws us in deeper as we look at the horizon which appears slightly sinister and we know how quickly nature can change in temperament.
I like the large square format, the slash of yellow hues on a diagonal which could be sea oats blowing and thus blurred (as we try to capture in photography) .
Your tonal values are lovely giving depth and there is a vibrancy without a feeling of "overcooked".
Lovely work Linda. I know 100% your friend will love this and treasure it.

What a beautiful scene and a wonderful gift for your friend Linda. I love the pastel colors and yet they are bold enough to give a nice sense of drama to the scene. I wish I had a six. Please accept my cyber six as a poor substitute Linda. Kudos ~ Steve

This is really nice. From a memory or from a photo? Love the colors and technique. Sea oats - so that's what they are! Deserves to be recognized. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your very fine review. It?s from two photos. I always like to change things up so th3 art isn?t an exact copy of a photo.

First of all, wow, the colors! They go together well. Like the scene; maybe a bit more work on the birds; good depth; like the waves; looks like a pretty realistic view overall; thanks for sharing.
