I just saw this on the front page. Raoul, I am so happy you are including your poetry with your work. You present such a strong package.
The art itself ...well you know how I feel about your work...what really stuck me about this was the face off the human being dead white and only splatters of blood.
The composition is superb and with that animal looking past the frame like that takes us visually on a journey and we know she continues the hunt.
Thank you for being on this site and for stimulating our gray matter.

Hi Dick. Thanks for the review. Yes, I am aware I am very odd in this respect. I brought myself up on ghost stories and tales of fantasy so I guess it's the fodder for my imagination. I'll post cheerier things soon though! :) R

What a wonderful and artistic rendering of this poem. It is also a very creative entry into this contest. You did a great job of showing the deceased person and the blood. The terrain definitely looks cold and frozen.

Wow! This illustration fits the poem to a T. The artwork has great initial impact. Starting with the bloody man with half of his body off the frame. And then, there is this sinister looking wolf. I love how the background split with the blue and white color. Nice work.

Ok,,I too feel for the wolf here,,but I think I would have took the knife first before giving my fingers and toes lol,,anyway a pretty grim story, and glad I read the poem in order to understand the art created,,love the wolf, your snow and what it brings by the blue background is interesting, hope she makes it after such a sacrafice

I must say that I like the picture a lot better than the accompanying poem. Perhaps my judgement has been jaded by my close friendship with the poet and writer Tom Lynch, who has been my best friend for more than 50 years.

Awesome creation. The details is excellent. The body forms and language is excellent. The depth is excellent. The shading is excellent. The blend of color is excellent. The creation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Very creative and awesome work overall (clapping)
