Never heard of a Echidna, but it does look nice! Your fine classic composition grants us a good look at it and it's habitat. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

Thanks nikman you definitely wouldn't pick them up with those spikes but they are harmless compared to the snakes and goannas in the bush ☺

A very nicely composed shot of this elusive little animal. His colors are beautiful and stand out nicely in this dried out bushland setting.

Very nice capture of this odd looking specimen. The detail you have captured in this photo is done with extreme clarity. Love the lighting and the lights and darks. The subject is framed well with the branches of the tree. Nice work.

A great shot of the intriguing and spiny echidna, snuffling around in the undergrowth with its nose/snout - good clarity and lighting gives clear detail on the creature, much like a giant version of the hedgehogs we have over here in the uk! Good contrast with the greenery in the b/g and the dry wood and bark surrounding it. Well done for capturing it in its natural surroundings and in action!! Great shot, well done! :)

Thanks El-mundo - you will have to post a photo of a hedgehog although I originate from UK and my parents talked about them I have never seen one :)

'Super Cool',Mary!
: D
The rare Echidna ( considered by some zoologists to be a 'Living Fossil'-although I'm not sure why exactly! ) is a creature that most of us up here in the Land of the Yanks have never even heard of much less ever seen so I'm really happy that you happened across this specimen and that you managed to capture such a good looking photo of it!
It's a 'Good Show' indeed,my friend! : )
