Excellent find these two cormorants watching keenly and you have focused extremely well on both birds. Great color and lighting. Such a blue sky - wonderful job. :)

Fred,
A wonderful picture of this pair of Cormorants perched high on a bare branched weeping Willow on a sunny day against a clear blue sky both facing in the same direction with one eye fixed on you below them. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A fantastic shot here Fred of these two cormorants, if I didn't know you better I'd say you've just cloned one and pasted it a bit smaller side by side, as they look practically identical, it's incredible. The clarity is sharp and the detail and shade in their wings almost identical, as are the curved branches they are perched on - the rich & dark blue sky provides great contrast with their dark bodies and rightborwnge beak and face. Like statues both facing exactly the same way, and neatly cropped to enhance this effect, this is a brilliantly timed and great piece, good work :)

thanks a lot Ed for your fantastic comments;
the branches are slightly different and the 0 birds are different! the one on the right is smaller.....
this is the second pic of these two (the first they were looking to each other) and I have a 3rd pic where they look at opposite directions.....
