Lovely Grace. It works well in b/w and a broad range of tones. Did you know gray has 256 shades...WOW.
It is crisp and framed beautifully.
Keep up the good work. I enjoy your posts.

Thank you! I know that Adobe has 256 shades of grey, but I thought there were actually more that the eyes can't see. It is interesting.

He looks like a chunky one.
Really Diggin' the look in his eyes and his big black nose. I love otters fat stubby fingers!!
HAHAHA I do!!
Your Choice of black and white works well showing off his silver coat well.
Not easy to Capture these guys through glass but you did a fine Job her GG.

Perfectly framed in the square format and a strong central composition. Your choice of black and white works nicely here with a good tonal range. Superb eye clarity.....I love the expression and emotion captured on his face. The eyes and the nice sharp focus brings us right into this photo with good lighting and clarity. I am partial to these gorgeous animals so much personality. You win us over with those eyes. Outstanding photography and thanks for sharing.

Lovely capture of this beautiful Otter and I think the use of black and white worked very well, as you say, giving him a silver sheen. Love the pose you caught. Excellent lighting and focus showing a beautifully crisp image. Lovely composition Grace. Suzanne

I just love the nose on this otter. It really is the focal point of this shot and a beautiful one. The clarity and detail are well defined and this is a beautiful closeup in black and white.
Nice work.

oh wow.. isn't he just a stunner. Look at that soulful face and those super sad eyes .. He's beautiful. Envision. . and the exposure is excellent. The black and white does not detract from the photo at all. It gives me a chance to really study the markings on his face without giving the eye too much to take in. Fine details make this Otter such an interesting subject boasting his silver coat and his lovely white tones under his eys and mouth. I can almost feel how soft he would be if I could touch him .. Those black marking under his eyes add to his appeal. Just want to hug him and say.. It's ok... thanks for sharing your otter.. I think he's awesome . A pleasure to review. cheers mel

It looks like otters are related to canines. Probably not. But, this guy looks like a bear. Or a big dog. I think it was a good idea to make this black and white. The silver stands out. Nice composition. Well framed. Focus is OK. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Thank you Dick. What do you mean by an Angel's button?
-
I just learn it from here...actually there's an idiom which they say "cute as a button"! Okay, I'll just omit the "angel"! I'm fond of adding/coining words.
LoL!
-
I was just curious. I have heard "cute as a button" before, just not the angel part. I don't think you need to omit angel if you like it!
-
Okay, I'll let it stay that way...that cuter! LoL!

Nice one Grace. I really like the black and white rendering here. Any more, I think that B&W makes for a much more dramatic view and is such a nice refreshing break from the ordinary color. Really nice work Grace ~ Steve
