Thank you so very much for your complimentary review! Actually 140 lb. is the lightest weight watercolor paper. I would like yo use 300 lb. paper ad it does not buckle like 140 lb. but it is very expensive.
-
I see and I understand - do you have big heavy books where you can place it under to get rid of the buckles? That might be an idea - sure there will be better times shortly as all is changing ....in the financial world
-
Once it has totally dried I lay it on an old pillowcase placed on a piece of gator board. I then do a water wash on the wrong side and let it soak in making sure no water gets on the front. I then steam iron from the middle out. That stretches its fibers and removes the buckles.
-
wow what an after work - you are a real artist, awesome

Thank you ever so mch!

I had to wait until today so I could give this is a 6. This is so beautiful. Your artistic talent is on full display. This image elicits a feeling of calm...a feeling that I want to be there. I can almost feel the soft breeze on my face when I look at it. Art that elicits emotion is really special. Beautiful work Linda. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Fantastic. I love to look at the beach, and this is a good portrait of a portion of the beach. This is good use of watercolours. Although, something needs to be darker.

Linda I have no idea what to say about this except that it's the perfect example of simplicity as elegance. Oh yeah and I like it. Congrats on your contest win.

Always my pleasure Linda. I looked at that work for a week and couldn't figure out what to say about it. It came to me this morning. Have a nice day .

The wind blown effect of the sea oats against the slop of the sand dune is exactly as it would be seen in nature. The colors are natural and true. The details also are true without being overdone. Reminds me of my former home on the beach in FL. Well done!!

Thank you so very much. It was inspired from my visits to Destin, Florida.

This is really lovely Linda. I could look at this for a long time. I love the pastel colours and shades that you have used and the Sea oats featured in the foreground. It is soothing to the eye.
I am not sure that it would make the 'flower' requirement but you have my vote...an excellent piece of artwork created here.

Congratulations Linda!
This was my favorite and I wish I had a bonus star to place here.
I love the tall ornamental grasses we have here.
Your painting is dreamy and has a sense of movement with the grass.
Beautiful colors, textures and dreamy view.
Lovely work :)
