Steve,
A very beautiful piece of a stored out Grape Vine or Ivy, the twists & turned of it grain brings to my mind a Chinese dragon as you might find on the prow of a Dragon Boat. Beautiful & imaginative composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Hi Steve, I'm quite honored you chose my suggestion for the title of your #6 Abstract.
Try as I might with this one I can't come up with a name. It looks like some type of animal, but I can't figure out what? I love the grains in the wood. I think they very distinctive. I can see why you wanted to photograph it. Just for fun I'll call this Dog Wood. A really interesting shot Steve! :o) Nancy

Oh My GOD Steve! A pug dog is what I thought I saw, but I wasn't quite sure. That's why I called it Dog Wood! Now I'm just waiting for my one million dollar win for #6. LOL
Hope you stop by to review my work again. I love hearing from you! :o) Nancy

It appears to be a wild creature "Frozen in time" or "Transformed Petrified Wood". Another gorgeous abstract work Steve! It appears to be a wild animal petrified and transformed into stone. Well balanced tones and shapes and colors. An artistic composition and an experience all its own. A creative work and outstanding editing. Beautiful textures and patterns given that old vintage look. Your editing work always done with thought and finesse Thanks for sharing.

Very clever, an old wood, which is transformed with a bit of blue for an eye into a pouch. Clever of you to see it and clever of you to add the eye. Excellent.

Hey Steve! I would name this one "The rabid rabbit" haha. To me it looks like a mad rabbit with the orange around its mouth and it's eyes glowing blue like it has been possessed by something. Maybe I am way off? Haha I think it's a great work Steve!

LOL. Great title Brady. Actually this is a very rare species of a Naturally rabid rabbit that is indeed Very dangerous and deadly. One bite and you are dead in 11.7 seconds. That is the bad news. The good news is that it is incredibly Stupid. If you Ever come across one Immediately put a paper bag over your head. It is So Stupid it thinks that if You can't see It, It can't see you. Just so you know. Thanks for your review Brady ~ Steve

There's a frog inside the dog !! The black background is perfect I like the dark brown colors of the piece itself with the blue eyeball in the middle of the head for the frog and the dog and the ears that stick up above the dog's head. The frogs a big old green bullfrog and the dog is a pug way cool way cool this is way cool

I think "There's A Frog Inside The Dog!" might me a Great Title. Sounds like something out of a children's book. Thank you for your artistically detailed review and comments Audrey. Your More than Generous rating is Very Much Appreciated ~ Steve

I think this looks like a Boxer or Bulldog. Probably a puppy because of the blue eye. LOL But most of all this photo is all about textures, and you have indeed brought them out well. I like the all black background.
The photo is Sharp showing such Clear and well defined details, and the exposure is great.
I think the Magic dust must have done Magic to this image, and the format and framing is Perfect. It is a fine Balance in the composition. Indeed a well done abstract Steve and my title would have been "Petrified Bulldog".
