knowing what part of the world you hail from, I imagine you saw this many times in your past life. England being an island and not such a big island, sea gulls and birds, coming and going is a regular part of the island, some going north, some south, some east and some west! Very vigorous painting, moving clouds, skies, early sunbeams, and birds, all in transit.

It is indeed both Newcastle area and Culatra are sea areas and birds of many varieties abound but seagulls are the major players. Thank you for reviewing and your insightfullness.

This is a beautiful sky at dawn brought to life by the gulls in flight against it. This has a good sense of motion both in the colorful sky and in the gulls. Very well created , arranged and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest! I have seen this scene many times just like this on the beaches in Homer!

Thank you for a great review. Homer is a mystery place so O googled it and saw those beautiful beaches. I thought the mountainous back- drop on some photos magnificent.

If it were a photo I might be critical of the partials on the left edge. It certainly gives it a touch of realism. I love the perspective and the fantastic colors. Best wishes in the contest.
