You don't often see rainbows that are exclusively below the horizon. You must have been quite high up. A very nice shot with great colors.

I see the rainbow! A really great photo good use of color and lighting and the subject area is well balanced, the green forest in the foreground really adds depth, a very interesting picture!

alaskapat, you make me want to live where you take these pictures. Landscapes offer so much to the eyes that you really have to take the time and get into the picture. The rainbow adds so much depth because it takes you to it. over the hills and through the valley, up to the rainbow! I love the picture!

You really do take amazing photographs. Seeing your photos on this site made me appreciate photography on a whole different level. I think your photos more than others consistently have very good aesthetic appeal to them. This scene is unbelievable, and the rainbow is like the icing in the cake. the atmosphere with the hills, the mountains in the background, the gradients of color of not only the sky but in the grassland area and mountains: they all blend very well together in this composition. You should seriously sell some of these as postcards or something.

This scene is unbelievable, and the rainbow is like the icing in the cake. the atmosphere with the hills, the mountains in the background, the gradients of color of not only the sky but in the grassland area and mountains: they all blend very well together in this composition. You should seriously sell some of these as postcards or something.

Gray clouds, shadows and barren mountains are in striking contradiction with abundant plant-life in the valley, blue sky and the rainbow colors. The landscape is perfect focused, exposed, composed and framed.

I would give a six for this but all gone. I think it is just perfect. It lifted my spirits to see it, it was grey, dark gloomy rain falling and this transported me to summer. It has it all. The lush vegetation, the blue sky promising sun lighting on mystical mountains where there lies of all things a rainbow . You were in the right place at the right time and made a perfect capture. Focus, light and presentation.... excellent.
