This is a very fine example of line art, and you have pictured such a fine scene with the deer looking at the ducks flying past.
This is done paying a very good attention to even the smallest details, and I also like the very thin lines you have used in places, because this adds depth to the drawing.
The square format is working well, and with the deer off to the left it is a very fine balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well done charcoal drawing, and I wish you luck with the contest.

The work has fluidity and action. I almost expect the ducks to quack. You sense of proportion is very good and adding the observant deer fills the bottom of the scene well. Anatomically, the animals have great body lines. The open lined background and foreground complete the scene. I think you have amazing raw talent and look forward to seeing more of your work.

This is very cool. I really like the way you did this as it looks like an old rendering that could have been made by a carved block of wood that was inked and pressed onto paper.
The details are great. This would look nice as a framed work of art hanging in a fine living room.
