Hi Pat I have followed you work for years. I think this is among your best ever. I can't stop looking at it, oh my gosh!

It is amazing that it looks like t his is out of the camera with only dimentional and size changes. That is awesome that you did not post process the dramatic color in the background.

The photo is so dramatic as you have the lower cool color contrasted with the warm sky colors with little transition between the two.

The jagged ice chunks work well to complement the jagged cliffs in the background.

The low hanging clouds add additional drama as the mast some of the land in the background.

This is a wall hanger for sure. Super well done!

Thank you so very much Allan for your enthusiastic comments and review. I was pretty excited the first time I had seen the ice break and stack up on shore like this!
I am truly honored by your six star rating!

This is gorgeous! God's painting captured beautifully by you for all to see. It almost presents as a painting. Simply amazing in all its glory! Besides the beautiful sky the water looks so fresh and clean. Very refreshing and brisk.
Thank you for sharing such. Beauty!

brrr..but i like the colors that you have captured. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this colorful skyview over the mountains and icy water is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Oh my! This photograph is almost surreal as if from another planet. So rugged; nice comparison shown , the warmth of the sky against the ice in the river. Love it.

well done, like the ice break up, kind of cool the sun reflecting on the snow in the hills, and the red glow in the center of the photo, well done

you captured a gloomy scene here at first i thought it was lava spot but now i noticed the pieces of ice. I love how the sun is picking around the corner of the mountain.

This is simply a gorgeous scene. The sunset colors and the sheen it cast on the rock formations is simply stunning. The middle- and foregrounds are also interesting as is your info. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing capture. The effects of the afterglow is amazing. Your patience was rewarded. The foreground of the ice being piled up is an amazing artistic talent of Mother Nature. The dark semi open water takes our eyesight vertically to the brilliant setting sunshine. This should be a magazine cover.

Thank you so much Gary! I was amazed when I first saw the way the wind pushes the water to break up the ice and push it to shore . I appreciate your support
