The excellent grip point allows for a wonderfully finished composition.
Very nice shot. Well done. Love the composition and light with the soft, subtle colors :)

Arlington is a somber place alright, square miles of memorials, good capture of the stones all lined up and the grass enduring, good contrast well done

All the soldiers that gave their life so we can live free. Some are known. Others are forgotten. Striking photo of the head stones. It makes you think that all we have might not have been

Another good and thoughtful review posted here! That morning the light made the scenes there quite uplifting despite being in a cemetery.

You are welcome. My Dad was in WW2. Navy. I'm sure you know many soldiers. If they tell me they served I always thank them. I did not serve. I hold soldiers in high regards.

Nik,
A beautiful & atmospheric picture of the endless row upon row of white Marble headstones in Arlington Military Cemetery framed by the trees in the background under a cloudy sky. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A nice capture. During my visit to Washington, I visited the Arlington Military Cemetery and witnessed the ceremony honouring the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country. Nice picture. Thanks for sharing!

Nice photograph with good details and balanced composition.
Great angle for the image and natural colors on the landscape of this national cemetery, place so many go to give respect.
Thank you for sharing.

A garden of stone.

Will the slaughter end when there is no one left to bury or no land left to bury them in?

A more somber place than this does not exist.

A well framed and informative piece, well done ... Bob

Thanks for this posting. I have been there twice and found it to be the most moving place I have ever been. No political signs on those stones. I have said many times that is where every high school class trip in the US ought to go. While there they should be required to stand for 5 min in total silence, just reflect. So much for my soapbox :) Thanks again.

Your very thoughtful and heartfelt review is much appreciated! I wish to reinforce this by saying I am a Brit who has seen many war memorials in Europe. Yours stands out and I will never forget it.
