The lady should be very happy with the finished project. Your talent is obvious and you should be very proud of this work. Even the bangs has a very life-like look. The facial features are spot on and at first glance, most people would call this a photo. Very nicely done.

Glena, you are so versatile in your craft. Your portraits are some of my favorites of your work.
This is perfectly executed and looks just like the photo.
You are so talented. It's hard to believe it's not just an enlargement!
Great job

Thank you so much, artist friend. God helps me, but things take longer as I've had back related (surgery is scheduled) and other problems. I keep faith. You are so talented friend. I wish I could do landscapes like you. You may have given me your email or phone number. Would you do so again and I'll copy and paste.

This is an amazing likeness of the Sabrina in the photo. I would not have guessed it was a portrait done in colored pencils. The shading is superb. Placement and structure of features really define you're abilities. Those laugh lines are perfectly placed and shaded.
This is a fine example of human form and a great entry to this contest.
Nice job. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you much, artist E. K. Huskey, for your fine review and encouragement, continued support. That contest was more for the form of whole body I suppose. Hopefully, someone will nominate this for another honor.

Thank you so very much, artist Shadow catcher, for reviewing, encouraging and for the high rating. I tried to get some of her cute freckles yet not some other imperfections. She is a wonderful lady.

This is immediately impressive to view, we see your absolute skill here.
You have rendered Sabrina with outstanding attention to every detail that I see in your reference photo
Well shaped face , good facial structure, accurate proportions, you bring her to life with your creation of her eyes!
She appears to be a very kind woman.
She is perfectly placed within the space and the neutral background works to emphasize Sabrina.
This is an excellent rendition!
Very best wishes to you in this contest!

Oh, Cindy Sue, how can I thank you enough for your outstanding and touching descriptive review. I am so honored. And, you give God glory as I do for all blessings and giftedness. I copied your other comments and that I'd get you a poem but didn't indicate which poem. Now that I've seen this again, please let me know the poem referring to which I promised. Thanks so much. Have a great week, blessed and safe. - Glena

Glena, when ever I see something like this I'm never sure if it's a photo or the artist really drew it. I trust you in your skill though. This is amazing! I don't know how you could be so accurate! I actually thought this was a photo! Everything is so smooth! You didn't miss a thing! I don't know what else to say except you did an incredible job! Sorry I don't have a six! :o) Nancy

Thank you, thank you artist friend, Nancy, for your touching review. I am so honored. And, you did give me a "6" here. Thanks also for that too. Yes, it does take so long to get a portrait or any other work with their likeness much as possible. The strangest thing though, yesterday I sat down and drew on a good tracing sheet, in a pack, a lion that came on my computer screen. It took little time and looked just like it, but I couldn't trace it near as well on transfer paper. I try to trace when I get it as good as possible before transferring to a structure that is almost unforgiving with erasures. I never have been able to trace well. Regarding this portrait, I don?t know how to indicate it in this case, whether Mixed Media painting, but since I?d already given Sabrina the original and a copy, I did put one of the original photos I?d taken of her and on one side of the screen while I free-handed drew and painted on top of the copy of original portrait I?d painted, making a few changes, cleaning up some pimples, etc. I don?t do this process that often but when I have only a copy and I have to upload, I may revise some with my work. My first complete acrylic portrait on stretched canvas of dear friends I plan to share on FAR will probably have none or little changes on one of my copies I made. I merged them from separate pictures.. I may make his beard like it is, rather than as white as he wanted.
