A beautiful photo of this lovely Monarch butterfly, well deserving of a six, which unfortunately I'm out of - already! Grrr
Beautifully focused with a perfect depth of field.
Good exposure giving lovely natural colours ( tho maybe the lower buds are very slightly burnt out).
And a perfect placement in the frame - a lovely example of the rule of thirds.
A great shot.

A very beautiful picture of this Monarch Butterfly alighted on the yellow Butterfly weed that is casting shadows on the butterfly's wings. The beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The Monarch is my favorite butterfly,and I have been able to rear and release several each year, with the exception of a three year period where I couldn't find eggs or larvae. Unfortunately I haven't seen any yet this year, but am keeping my fingers crossed! A lovely photo of this feeding monarch showing its wonderful coloration and wing pattern. What a lovely capture! The lighting is eye-catching and the sharp focus belies the hand-held shot. I love the monarch's vibrant colors as well as the milkweed (?) it is enjoying.
Perhaps cropping a bit off the left side may help to bring greater focus to this beautiful butterfly.
