Thanks Brian, yes he did see me, despite me whistling and gazing around before taking the shot Lol - but I hope that doesn?t disqualify me, candid merely means not posed, so it shouldn?t matter . . . should it?

A great picture of this homeless Gentleman sitting on the bench with all his possessions in a plastic bag at his feet. His face shows his desolation that doesn't match with the statement written across the back of the bench behind him.
Interesting composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

This is a very powerful piece exhibit. The homeless situation in Alberta is only getting worse since Covid and the loss of jobs in the oil fields. Many have no jobs to go to and families who could help in their time of need. It is an in housing battle unfortunately. Thank you for bringing this topic to light! Well done

What I like about this most is the look on this man's face. Even if he wasn't homeless, his face reads that he's not having fun. Quite opposite of what the sign reads. Nice capture.

Thank you So much for your great review and high rating! His expression versus the sign is exactly why I took the photo, I just couldn?t resist it!

This is such an interesting image, there is such a contrast here between the homeless man and the sign that suggests that this is a great place to work and play, his face looks miserable indeed.
You have captured this well, with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors snd tones appear true and natural.
Well composed and presented!
We have a huge problem with the homeless here too, many of them freeze to death in the harsh winter.

I wouldn?t want to be homeless even in a hot country, but in winter in Alaska OMG no thank you! Does the government not provide shelters they can go to? Mind you, governments don?t seem to care much about the homeless in any country!
Many thanks for your thought provoking review Pat.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a good view of that unfortunate. Wonder how he stays so big? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

The contrast works well in this capture. No explanation needed for this one. It tells the real story, and that is to be commended. It is very sad to see someone in this situation. This photo make a fine statement. Th ebest of luck in the contest. Ray
