It reminds me of the little tube u look into when I was a kid you would be able to turn the scope and different designs would form its interesting to hear the owners way of putting it between glass presented very well and your description is right on

Hi Jennifer.. A Kaleidoscope? For me the piece triggered my memory of the opening credits of the 50's-60's TV series The Twilight Zone. Thanks for the review and the stars... Bob

This is lovely work, the composition, the shapes and swirls that resulted as this is. I can see where you come from in your nice commentary. It is a really nice and unique work but does look a little blurred in places as is.

This is wonderful! I follow the current art trends closely and the marketed projection for 2024 popular art is minimalist geometric art in monochrome is stated to surge. I think this would do very well in that aspect. Wonderful capture. Thanks for sharing!

Somebody definitely had a lot of free time on their hands, definitely a pretty impressive and artistic piece. Wonder where they got the Fresnel lens from, I know that many lighthouses still have lights of Fresnel lens. Depending on what they were asking, I probably would have bought it. A great shot of this geometric spiral pattern which allows the viewer to use their imagination and get lost in the design.

Did you buy it Bob? I think I would've been sorely tempted!
Apart from not understanding a word of how it was constructed (sorry I'm not technical-minded at all! Lol), I still think it's an awesome construction, and makes an amazing abstract photo!
Abstract shots are so hard to do as the objects used are usually too recognisable for it to be fully abstract - but this one is just perfect! If you hadn't explained what it was, I would have thought you'd spent hours using the distortion filters on PS!
Nice one Bob.

The price was a little too dear Charlotte. The owner of the piece who just happens to be a pro photog was watching me struggle. He came over and said, "Yeah.. that's why I bought it. To this day I can't get that entire piece in full focus either." He also admitted that he put it out here with a high price so as not to sell but attract people like me. That way he gets to talk shop... A good fella.

Thank you for the fine review and rating. I'm glad you liked the post ... Bob

Oh well, at least you got to talk shop with someone worth talking to, and a good photo!
    You?re very welcome Bob,

This photograph is not what it seems. I don't know what it depicts. I can guess, but I don't care. I sense a luminous quality. I saw a celestial event happening. I see tiny drops of water and ice. It is left to the viewer's imagination. A creative endeavour. Well done!

Hi Sesha.. Your opening sentence sums up this piece very succinctly. It is an enigma that is impossible to capture in complete focus.

I'm glad you liked the post. Thank you, for the excellent review and rating!... Bob

A very interesting and artistic photograph. I'm not sure what Fresnel Lens is, but it does make for a beautiful image and even lovelier when light is shining through.

Hi Bob, I don't know what a Fresnel lens is but I like the effect. It sounds very interesting. I think you're right about the sun shining thru this, I bet it's lovely! I happen to like any image that has swirls in it. Very interesting shot with good lighting and focus, plus out of the box image. Very cool! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy.. The opening credits of the 50's - 60's tv show "The Twilight Zone" is what immediately came to mind. And if you stare at it long enough it does indeed seem to spine erratically.

Thanks for you great review... Bob

Double spirals, double Fibonacci sequence. I had to dust off my old Advanced Engineering Math book for this one. Bob this is an interesting find and you have done a fine job of presenting it . Ray

This piece is an enigma Ray. The owner, a pro photog, and I could not find a camera setting that got the entire piece in focus. We got either the upper half or lower in focus never the entire piece. My shot doesn't do it justice, but thanks for the review... Bob
