Hi Ray! You never cease to amaze me with your own interpretations of your abstract work. I like the way this appears to be a mirage in the heat if the day. I can feel the sun's heat coming off the image.

Hi Jewell, I am glad you like this realistic picture of the beach nearing the end of the day. All the people have gone and all that remains is Castles in the Sand. Thank you for your wonderful review. Ray

Mark, so nice hearing from you, you must be busy creating and that is good. Thank you for your fine review. I am glad you like it. I don't know what happened to Sean, I called the tel. number that matched up with his address in Fort Edwards and it was disconnected. Do you have any info about him? If you do please let me know. Ray

Sadly no Ray. Yeah both FanStory and FAR have been keeping hopping with all the videos. Go to YouTube under FanStory and see how busy I have been..wink

Mark, I can see it with all your mini productions and your pain staking intricacies, I am sure it passes the time and where does it all go, so fast now? like a book in a wind storm. Ray

Wonderful artwork Ray and great surprise in the desert. The details on the oasis are contrasting so nicely with the smooth lines of the sand hills.
The summer heat is radiating from the beautiful presentation!

Jirina, I did this to show what it was like to be on the beach after everyone left and the only thing remaining was the sand castles. I love your interpretation also of the sand hills in the desert. Thank you for your wonderful review and rating, I am happy you like it. Ray

Ray absolutely my pleasure. I love your artwork since it allows for many interpretations

I love that this is such a warm scene you have created. I can't wait until summer and I can go back to the beaches here.
Sandcastles are so much fun to build and I especially like finding them on the beach.
Very well created with awesome colors , I especially love the way this is washed in warm sun rays!
Well presented!

Hi Ray.. Looks to me like you were trying to capture that elusive time of late afternoon at the beach. The sun's angle is lower and the sand, air and surf all take on that afternoon glow.
It is fleeting and ever so difficult to reproduce because the time is short. But I think you got it.
I have seen this scene many times at many beaches. The lone sandcastle survivor outlined against the sea by the dying light. The dust once raised by many feet now settled. Even the smell of the saltwater takes on a more soothing scent. The waves seem smaller and much less threatening.
Finally the voices on high volume of young and old alike excited upon arrival now subdued as they remind everyone to "Pick up all your stuff, we're going home now!".
Thanks for a trip to the beach... Bob

Whether it would have been better to see more details and sandcastles in this [don,t no] but again because of the dense use of color it does have a whimiscal charm about it and that abstract feel as well...brian

In this abstract painting I see colourful heavy brushwork. The combination of bright hues and thick layers of paint gives the painting a sense of depth and dimension. Very eye-catching. Thanks for sharing!
