I do appreciate your nice review! Yes, the Irish Sea can go way out, but it can also come crashing in onto the coastline, as it did yesterday.

Your very thoughtful and considered review is much appreciated as is your big 6. The tide at Southport goes out a long way and can hardly be seen easily at some low tides.

Hi Nik.. This would be the perfect shot I would use to teach the concept of size v scale and how to get the long leading lines of mega structures.
Some might argue there is too much sky. I would disagree because you need ample sky to get the impression of size, scale and depth - well done.
The colors are excellent and support a long scale of contrast.
The technical factors are spot on... Bob

As always, your composition is spot on here. My eye is drawn right to the end of that extremely long pier. A lovely sky and excellent clarity giving us so many details to enjoy. I like that it is not overly adjusted in post production, it lets the natural elements of the shot shine through.

a man walks down the pier to the end and stops. Then he starts to hear voices saying.."KEEP GOING!"..lol. it was just a passing thought, nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this long beach with a low tide beach is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

This is an impressive place, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like the great leading lines because of an excellent POV, and the sky is really looks lovely. I also like the fine reflections you have captured in the puddles of water.
