Very interesting and unique.
Fine details. Good lighting and exposure values. This looks very much like a sketch
which is cool. Pleasing highlights and shadows. Good initial and visual impact. I love the grain as well.

This is a good one Allan, and I would have given you 6 stars if I had any left. First of all it is a very good entry into a contest like this, and it is different from what we usually see. I also like a lot the sepia hues and well we can see the textures of the paper.

Your focus is spot on and pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details, and the exposure is just perfect.

I also like the format you have cropped the photo into and also the placement of then ball pen within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken macro with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
