Hi Brian, thanks very much for your review. Yes I had a great time - despite it raining EVERY day! I took a fair few photos, but the weather didn?t help that aspect much!

Stunning orchid Charlotte definitely a different one to what I have seen previously.
Your focus is good and the composition is nice.
The blurred background makes the orchid stand out well.

Wow Charlotte! This is the first time I have seen or even heard of a bee orchid! I find this to be intriguing! I can certainly see how this orchid got its name.
Well photographed with nice focus, this image is clear and your exposure is correct. The colors and tones appear natural, the flower is standing out from the soft green background so very well.
The pattern is awesome, at first glance I thought there was a bee!
Well composed and presented! Thank you for sharing !

Thank you so much Pat! I knew they could be found in France at this time of year, so made a great effort to find one - there are also wild Fly Orchids (can you guess what they look like? lol) to be found, but they remained elusive to me on my search this year! :(

Charlotte,
A very beautiful picture of the wild Bee Orchid, it's shape & beautiful colours standing out from the long grass surrounding it, the second flower adds interest to the background . Beasutiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

Charlotte this is a beautiful capture of an orchid in all its glory as it stands among the tall grass in the field. The detail is amazing and the intricacies are unique. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

They look like they have a face! Very pretty and I love that they were wild. Not too often you find something so rare in the wild. Love the purple colours with the lines on the petals.

So exotic and lovely. It looks like it has a face looking at you. Colors are natural and is a delight to vied. Excellent angle showing all the details of lines and textures. I likewise like how you've shown its home environment surrounded by grass blades. The vertical frame fits well and placement is also good.

Thank you very much for your great review. Yes I had to photograph it where it stood as they are rare and protected and if picked, I don?t think they grow again.
