Little warbler is adorable. He looks so life like, and the detail is great. I'm just waiting to hear him sing a pretty bird song. Love your background. You did a wonderful job using pastels.

This little guy is adorable. The color composition of this piece is quite lovely with the vibrant yellow against the fuschia flowers. Your choice of muted ochre or beige for the background is the perfect color to allow the vibrant colors to stand while complimenting the yellows used throughout the piece. I also love how you used the paper color and texture to add dimension to the composition. Very well done. That sweet little bird looks like he could fly right off the page.

How interesting! I have a posted a similar kind of bird painting although in an abstract style, but not as a contest entry!. Your artworks do not adhere to the strict definition of abstract but include definitions of a visual media! Well done. Good luck!
