HI Janice, I definitely can see why you won the blue contest! Love the intensity of both the sky and the water. I also love the softness on the horizon. You even have shaded of blur on the beach. Camera technique is spot perfect. I see a deep DOF with excellent focus all the way to the horizon, nice work.
You picked a perfect time to be out and about with camera in hand. The lighting is fantastic and begs to be captured.

This is a wonderful photo that captures the full spectrum of blue and light blue colors! Very beautiful! I especially like the horizon line, how clearly it provides a transition from yellowish green to bright blue and deep blue. Gorgeous!

Such a refreshing scene of this blue ocean. This is a great entry. I like the angle that you use even showing the lines of the shore, those tiny tides, and markings in the sand. Lighting and focus are also superb and your horizon is pretty levelled. A joy to view.
