I saw this a while ago when I didn't have time to stop and review and I'm glad I was able to track it down to your portfolio to award six stars Brian. It really is a superb shot of this kookaburra. I have never seen one in real life and this is captured so clearly with lovely detail from the feathers to the beak. Fantastic focus and depth of field. A wonderful wildlife image!

This is a great submission of the Kookaburra. You have managed to capture his colors well. Great focus and clarity shows so much definition and color of his feathers and shape

Brian...an excellent capture of this Kookaburra. Wonderful clear details of the plumage, eye and face. The blue colour is vibrant and all colours appear natural. Nice blurred background which allows the Kookaburra to 'pop'.

Hi Brian, Iam totally amazed that no one has given you a six for this! I think the shot is amazing! The focus and lighting show this guy off really well! Love the angle of the side shot! You were so lucky to see this guy! I love his grumpy looking attitude. I had no idea these birds have a touch of blue. Everything about this shot is cool! So deserving of six stars! Excellent entry for the bird contest! Good Luck! :o) Nancy

Superb angle and focus. Glad you've got the chance to really come close to this kookaburra and captured a sharp image.
