I thing this is quite a sweet little frog, and it must be a welcoming sound to hear in the spring. The way you have described it makes me understand how tiny it is. I like very much the background as well and spring peeper is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the frog. You have also brought out so well the fine textures of the skin The exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped, and the frog has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken Lee Ann, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Wow - the texture that comes through in the tact sharp image is amazing. I can literally feel the tiny bumps on this frog. Your capture is perfect as it looks as though within seconds, he/she will be leaping off to a new destination. The natural colors are nicely retained. I would have personally positioned the subject a tad to the right, which would allow him/her room to leap in the frame. But that me and it's purely a subjective observation. This is a unique and enjoyable view and fitting for the contest. Good Luck.
