I sometimes think looking down on animals/birds is not always the best position to get the best photos, but i do like the movement in the water which you would not have got had you been level with these ducks...Brian

The vibrant colours in this image of the beautiful duck pair bring the photo to life, creating a visually striking composition. You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition worked well. Good luck! Glad to award SIX stars! Cheers!

HI MIchele, I always seem to run across Wood Ducks with only a male or female present. I do feel lucky though because I have captured the beautiful male. Love your image of both in this shot. You not only have lovely focus on the ducks but the water a well. Love the crystal clear water and the partial reflection of the female. I like the way you presented this in a long horizontal frame as well. Great shot for the contest and a joy to view! Good Luck! :o) Nancy

The wood ducks are beautiful and you have captured them well as they swim on the stream in Virginia park.
The female leads the male, well focused , clear image with correct exposure.
The colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!
