This is a wonderful impactful image of the monk looking out to sea, deep in thought. The fact that it is displayed in black and white serves to make the image more impactful.

A compelling scene of this Monk in contemplation, prayer or gratitude. The image certainly offers a story to be told as the viewers curiosity intensifies on what he is thinking. The harsh shadows offer compositional appeal and the tonal quality of the Greys (black in the shadows to white in the clouds) offer a nice feel of contrast and overall interest. Nice.

This has so much to look at. The sky is interesting. The balance is good with the tree and the monk side by side. Then there are the shadows cast by the fencing. It all adds up to a story taken with thought and good management. I really like this.

An interesting image presented here! Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of a man wearing a hat and long coat. From this angle I cannot confirm that he is a monk, but I suppose you are correct. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!

A meaningful scene of this Monk looking at the standing in this area and gazing at the sea. I like this black and white version and the shadow added so much depth in this image as well as the shrub. The sea made a nice background and you have composed this well with the inclusion of the sky and the foreground. Excellent lighting, framing placement, angle and composition. A dramatic scene with a story to tell.
