You notes make this shot even more impressive. I can see where their feathers would absorb light making it just a dark silhouette. With the angle of light and fast shutter speed your captured the action and wonderful colors of the bird. Well done and a pleasure to review.

Thank you - yes, even in this shot you will note how dark the colors are leaning. Thank you for taking a look and appreciating the challenge of the shot.

Nice capture. Love the simplicity of the scene which brings the focus to the bird. Details, focus, lighting, creativity is excellent. Overall a very nice presentation. Very well done.

Wonderful photograph Kathy!
The details and colors on the bird are showing so well against the water.
I have not seen these birds in the nature; thank you for sharing this great image.

How wonderful visual presented here of this unique bird. That bake looks deadly. Love the colours within the feathers. The angle that you used positions your subject very well within the frame. Well done.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of that pretty bird flapping its wings. Seems to me that it has been wrongly name as its face looks brown? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

Hi Kathy, I think you caught some great colors here! I see some lovely iridescent green and red. Love that the Ibis opened its wings so we could really see the color! Lucky you to run across him and get the angle just right. I've never seen this bird so I feel blessed that you did and captured him for the rest of us to enjoy! Nice job on all counts! Thanks for sharing!
