I appreciate the angle of the shot and incorporation of the web, however the spider seem se to be less clear than it could be. The darkened background helps highlight the spider's form. Good luck in the contest.

Oh my goodness! As soon as I saw the title to this one, before I opened up the image, I cringed a little bit. I do not like spiders, even though I know many of them are harmless. You've done a great job, capturing this image and getting the details of the spider in the light, Just so. It even looks a bit furry. Great job on getting the detail details!

lol, I do not like spiders either, but I admire them from afar, and yes these ones are hairy, which makes them creepier. In the end I had to get rid of her because a male was hanging around and I didnt want to deal with little spiders on my gazebo curtains,

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition gives us a good look at your spider and its delicate web. Textures, detail and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

I had one on my screen door for weeks (many years ago), I found it amazing to see how much it had expanded its web and grown. They are quite the engineers, that is for sure.

I like the angle of the shot that allows the web to be appreciated on the left of the frame. Your center placement of the spider is very effective and creates a strong center of focus for the viewers.

The image is well lit, well defined with nice detail of the web and spider. Set against the bokeh of green is both natural and offers a nice contrast for the subject to be appreciated.

Good luck in the contest.

Growing up, I had a pet spider as well that used to live in my window in my bedroom. It lasted to the summer until my mother discovered it and decided I better let it go free or she's gonna kill it. I love spider so needless to say I let it go. Composition is very well done and presented. Thank you for sharing.

I like the side view showing the curvy legs and the prominent details like the hairs and earth tone colors of this spider. The plain background is also beautiful. The web is vivid. Great lighting, angle and focus. I wish you the best in this contest.
