HI Mark, Love the expression on your lady flower child! She has the look of awe! Very cool wide brimmed hat adorned with flowers. I think the butterfly was a very nice touch! This is one of those images that could be enjoyed even without the surrounding flowers. I like the thought of it both ways! ( though I know this is for a flower contest) Nice job and a great entry for the flower contest! :o) Nancy

Great looking image here of a modern flower child. I like the hat, hair and skin tones are very good. The flowers all around add to the image. Very creative, good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing :-)

A chance this will get disqualified because of the facial being added which really I don't care. I have a cartoon series "Funnie Flowers" that has always entered in this contest and will not be considered. Over a decade I have entered this contest with a creative approach Instead of some boring drawing of just a flower. That's OK I'm as hard headed as the committee. Maybe one day one of them might have a creative mind..ya just never know
.wink. thanks Mark for the great review. (Thumbs up)

Mark, I see what you mean, great illustration. I like the hat, all the flowers, the girls features, everything and a great title. All in one fine package with a story to be told. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

This is a lovely art piece of a modern day flower child, however not quite the same as the originals in the 60's :0. But the colors and the presentation are lovely. Good luck in the contest.

Pretty colorful and so full of life, Mark. I love the diversity in colors of the blossoms. Clarity of layers of each petals that looks like peonies. You also have drawn a lovely Flower Child. Her facial features are well-defined and you have dressed her well, too. I love the well-decorated hat with blossoms and a butterfly. Excellent drawing techniques just with the use of a sharpie and BIC pens, strong storytelling potential, and excellent framing placement and choice of vertical frame. An amazing scene.

Wow! This is brilliant work! I love how you have skilfully portrayed the subject's emotions, making it feel like she is right here with us. The attention to detail in this portrait is remarkable, from the intricate textures of the flowers to the lifelike expressions on the subject's face. Great work, bro. I wish I had a six to award. All the best in the contest!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and full composition gives us a good look at that lovely young woman, but she does not look modern in my Brit eyes. Nicely done!
