I like the composition of this photograph, and the black background does show off the colors of the blooms. However It seems that the flowers are not as in sharp focus as they could be.

You are lucky that your Christmas cactus bloomed so beautifully . I had one that I got years ago, it was in bloom when I brought it home and then it bloomed this year before Thanksgiving and the blooms didn't last very long . This one is gorgeous and you have photographed it well with nice focus, this image is clear and your exposure is correct. The colors and tones appear natural. The black background works so well to emphasize the flowers.

Jodi, what a beautiful Christmas cactus in full bloom with its intriguing petaled flowers. Amazingly full blossoms fill the plant and creates a wonderful burst of color. Very nicely presented and a joy to observe, Ray
