The black and white presentation works very well in this image with a nice array of shades from white to black with varying tones of gray between. The action in the scene is fun and interesting as this long-bearded jockey seems very focused and undisturbed by your presence. A clear focus, wide depth of field and control of exposure, has produced this very appealing image. Good luck in the contest.

The black and white works well here and I immediately see the variations of tone in both the black and the white , making this a fine entry for this contest.
We are drawn to this man who plays music from vinyl records.
Well focused, clear image with good use of the light. I like that this is a candid capture .

Black-and-white photography really helps to bring out all of the details not only in the scene presented before us but in most all photography. I like how well focus the entire scene is and I like how you captured the expression on this man's face as he's playing music. Well, composed with a good dof and a nice perspective.
