Excellent capture on a spur of the moment shot. You can certainly see the the life in her eyes. The shades, details and framing are wonderful. Overall a great presentation. Thanks for sharing!

You, lucky duck - you got a two for one shot. I.e. Two expressions with one frame.
A very fitting entry for the contest and presented nicely in b&w to retain the viewer(s) eyes on the subject at hand 'Emotions'.
Grandfather has that "What are you doing" expression and granddaughter appears to be singing / dancing or simply amusing herself.
The image is sharp with nice dof to maintain a clear appreciation of both subjects. Good luck in the contest.

First off, you conversion to b/w is excellent. The dynamic range is perfect.
I like the human nature of this image.
The young girl seems pretty chill as a child should be at that age. The Grandfather on the other hand seems to have a concern with his look. These type of images can tell multiple stories based on how each of look at it. Very nice, I wish I had a 6 rating left.

Normanally not to keen on family photos more so when they are posed,but i really like this one as it tells a story and reminds me of times with my granddaughter,good in b/w as well.....Brian

This is such a sweet image and it's a nice entry for this contest. This precious little girl appears to be saying something to her grandfather, by looking at her hands it could be that she is counting. Her face looks happy and grandfather looks so proud .
Well rendered in black and white, well focused, this image is clear , exposure is correct. I see good tonal variations in the black and white.
Well composed and presented!
