Hi Alexandra.. I wholly agree with what you were trying to accomplish. I have some experience in this style of photography and if I may I can relate what I have learned which ain't much.

First off you can't fully sharpen an image taken in soft focus but you can soften a sharply focused image.

As to framing, I would have included the entire pink blossom at the top. This would have given the frame scale and dimension.

Just for grins-n-giggles convert this shot to b&w, I think you will be surprised... Bob

I hear you as an artist not photographer, Bob. It's a green contest so I kept most of tbe flowers out. Possibly I can take a new look at framing and sharpening this. I appreciate your thoughtful feedback.

    Thank you!

This is a nice shot of the green leaves of the tulips. ! The framing, light, shadows, and colours all come together perfectly. But the larger version looks a bit blurred. Good luck!

Great picture that you took of the Tulips. The colors are always to look at from plants in nature. Excellent work with this photograph and thank you for sharing!

The image is not in focus and is not the quality of photos that are submitted into the competition. The only thing that is true is the color green.

I am an not a profeeeional photographer so I did my best. I have time if you have any constructive suggestions to share. I would appreciate your expertise.

Photographers here haven't mentioned what you have but you have a good eye. I do have MS and I can never be completely still anymore. I just do my best as I'm sure you do, too. Blessings, Alex

Alex, I'm not a professional photographer either. I just try to be honest and true to my opinion. So I will not automatically give a five if I don't think the photo deserves it, and will usually explain why. Just so you know I don't always get a five for my photos either :0)

Alex, for me, wow!! I see you jumped in on this macro and any one would be able to distinguish that these are tulips and that is good. I wish you luck in the up and coming contest. Ray

The tulip is also my favorite flower for Valentin Day! I agree with you about the leaves , they are also beautiful as they stand beside the tulip blooms they are strong and thick and well shaped . You have photographed these well with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct , the colors and tones appear natural,
I like the way you composed this allowing a partial view of the pretty blooms .
Well presented!
Nice entry for this contest, best wishes to you ,
