You are quite right Mark, this contest doesn't specify that the family has to be human. Good for you, because I really like this family of animals. It looks like you have pictured a birthday party, and that they are all lined up for a photo to be taken. LOL I especially like the color pallet you have used and the way the trees on each side are framing the scene.
As always you have paid such a good attention to details and used high lights in such an excellent way.
The composition is very strong with an excellent balance, and the format and framing is very good. I could see by your notes you don't wish a good luck greeting, but I will do it anyway, because I think this is a truly great looking and well done drawing.

I was gonna do balloons but let's face it..if.they don't have a critter with thumbs the balloons are not happening..lol. glad ya like and thanks for the great review

Yes I have Phyllis and welcome back btw..both books that i have illustrated for are available for sale on Amazon..."According to Grandpa " by Eigle Ellis Bacon and "Let's Fly Sky High!" Viewers want to see "traditional photography , not mixed media which is what I do. I wish Tom had left the Mixed Media category in. I like what you did here. You definitely left me smiling! I like the forest setting and the way the moonlight seems to act as a spotlight on the group. I'm picturing one of these critters taking a photograph of the group. I enjoyed your wildlife, family celebration. You may not want anyone to wish you luck but I'm sending it to you anyway! I love imaginative images! :o) Nancy
