This is a beautiful portrait of the Great Blue Heron. I like the way you placed the focal point in the far left third of the composition and have given the viewer a beautiful sunset to admire.

Well look at you, shooting such an amazing sunset scene with the beautiful tall , long legged bird that seems to be enjoying the sunset too.
The bird is well placed within the frame , I like its pose allowing such a good sense of its shape and structure.
Well focused, clear and nice use of the available light,
Colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!
Very best wishes to you in this contest!

What a wonderful image you captured here. I love the sky. The bird's position on the photo is perfect. I like it being mostly on the left. This is great.

Hi Jewell, You caught this scene just right. The sky and the green water add so much beauty. The egret looks hansom and the sunset is great too. Very enjoyable. And you leveled the horizon. Excellent.

This is an absolutely beautiful shot of this Egret at sunset looking out over the ocean. Focus and clarity are excellent, against a red cloudy sky is beautiful. Good luck in the contest.

Love the colors that you have captured. The clarity is great. The.angle of the shot of this bird looking off towards the colorful Skyview is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

What a fantastic photo, nothing like being in the right place at the right time, this heron definitely looks like it's enjoying that beautiful sunset! This is masterfully composed; exposure and colors are perfect; my only suggestion would be level out your horizon. This is definitely a very unique and eye pleasing entry for this contest, my best wishes to you!

This is an excellent shot of a very shy bird. It is rare to be this close in the open and not have it fly away. It must have been mesmerized by the beautiful sunset seascape before it's eyes.

The colors of this piece are stunning and combined with the ambient light the bird is almost too much for the eye - a visual tour de force... Bob
