You've captured a wonderful scene and a interesting moment in nature! The framing is well thought out, and the use of light and shadows adds both depth and character. The colours are vibrant, and the composition ties everything together seamlessly. Excellent effort! Good luck!

Wow! Stunning Len!
Absolutely beautiful photo and definitely worth going paddling for - I'll bet it was cold though!
We had a Pont du Diable nearby us when I lived over there, it must be a common name, ours wasn't nearly as lovely as this one though.
Everything about this shot is spot on, focus, dof, composition and colours - I can't find anything to critisize at all!
Very good luck in the contest, though I don't think you'll need it.

Thanks Charlotte. There are Ponts du Diable everywhere and all share (I think) the same story :- Man wants to build bridge, Devil steps up and says he'll build it in exchange for the first soul to cross the bridge. Man agrees and when bridge is completed man sends a dog across. Devil defeated ... but he does this an awful lot ... guess he likes dogs.

Such an awesome capture and presentation is worthy to be a print in a framed on the wall proudly displaying this outstanding capture. The clarity is excellent. The angle of the shot from the water view with upward view of old bridge. Love the spotlight of light hitting certain areas of the ground. The capture of the light is perfect. The presentation is so well balanced that it make it so well appealing to the viewer. Creative approach and awesome work overall (clapping)

Liked tee description of slightly falling in[probarly something i would do] still at least you got a good photo out of it and the slightly darkish look adds a touch of mystery to this, and a vertical approach works well in this one, good photo...Brian

Len this is a wonderful picture. What one does for the shot. The lighting of the day is amazing as it washes the stones and creek. Excellent choice for the contest. Ray

This is a great shot of the Devil's bridge, taken at a great angle. I can see why you would have to be in the middle of the stream to get a good shot. The rocky terrain and the stream ads to the general ambiance of the scene. Good luck in the contest. I wish I had a six to give you.

Absolutely beautiful and so nicely presented. It shows almost like a painting especially since the location is in France / from some time ago landscape as well.
An excellent play of light and shadows revealing all the colors and details with nostalgic feeling.
Great angle and composition of the whole image. I am out of sixes which this does deserve!

Hi Len, You definitely got a super shot, but the object of getting an awesome shot is not trying to kill yourself in the process! Glad you didn't injure yourself or worse. Love the lighting here and the angle of the shot! Super view! If I had six stars to give you have them!

I know what it's like when there's a picture you just have to take! Be careful though! Happy Easter!
