looks kinda like a tree frog but it a lil different. oh i know ! its an illegal immigrant frog! it must have snuck in from Canada..lol.. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this frog is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Thanks Mark!

Nice shot, nothing to complain about here. The frog is sharp and nicely positioned in the frame, he stands out against the background bokeh. Just one question ... did you kiss him and discover a handsome prince ... or not ?

I believe that when photographing Amphibians, it's all about the head - this shot supports and lends credence to the former.
I can't get over the color gamut of the eyes on this dude. I seriously don't think one could get any more original eye color with AI or any other artificial media software - you done good!
Another strong point for my eyes is the background bokeh. It reinforces the image of the frog. Your choice of f-stop keeps enough of the foreground in fine focus and makes a fine anchor for it all.
If you had been one of my Photo Club students, this piece would have been a sure winner of the 'Hallway Keeper' award.
This is top notch photography, and I feel privileged to have seen it and given the opportunity to review it... Bob

OMG thank you Bob. Ironically, a couple people thought the DOF was too narrow. I am a nature photographer and love every little bug, creature and blade of grass.

Great photograph and so much fun to view as the frog is staring at the object with wonderful intensity and determination to find out what it is. Great presentation and thank you for sharing!

I do love frogs, I used to see so many when I was a child, but the chemicals farmers now use in abundance they have sadly severely declined the numbers.
A very nice shot of this one, with good colour and great composition. Focus is excellent, clearly showing his yellow eye, but perhaps at F16 or 22 would have given you a greater dof.
All the best of luck in the contest!

A cute shot of a frog awaiting his next meal. His face and eyes are in great focus; however depth of field is so narrow thar the rest of him is blurred. The muted background does help him standout in the shot. Good luck in the contest.

Great find, Aimee. The brown from seems to camouflage itself in this old trunk with the same earthy colors like his skin. Great focus, angle, and lighting. The green contrasting background made your subject to really pop and the framing placement is a good compliance to the rule of third. You've really showcased its bulky eye. Wish you the best in this Outside Contest.

Nice little shot of this frog, and a good close up,looks like a shallow dof was used in this one,i might have used a slightly bigger one,but that aside you have got real good detail and sharpness in its eyes [which is the main point] and it does throw the background completely out of focus so well done for that....Brian

What a wonderful, visual presented hero, frog as he awaits his dinner guests to arrive lol. I love the angle that you used. It makes them look ready to pounce. Colours tones and textures are well done. Thank you for sharing.

The way you've captured the frog in natural light here is stunning! The interplay of shadows and highlights creates such a rich, immersive depthâ€"it feels like he is sitting on my desk. Overall, an impressive capture! Good luck!
