This is really good for being your first time! You did a good job of capturing the detail in the owls eye. I like the way you used different shades of blue in the back ground to create the idea of movement. Keep it up, good job!

interesting creation. i know it is an owl but do recommend working on the bottom part of the body form. looks more like an insect stinger. still i like this..your background brush strokes has a nice flow to give the illusion of movement the depth is good. the shading is good. the blend of the colors is good. the presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. creative approach and good job overall
