This photograph caused me to laugh. Reminds me of those trolls with the crazy hair. Nice DOF; really allows one to concentrate on the subject. Colors are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

What a cute image captured within this portrait. I love the depth of clarity: for the bird here, is captured so vividly; so clear in sight: such sound artistry and technology, combined.
Perfectly cropped and centered.
Truly, nice work.

What a great eye ball to eye ball shot Willie. And great timing to catch him expressing himself with that slightly open beak. Amazing detail all the way through. You are so right that it is easy to take these terrific birds for granted because of their numbers. But your photo should help out the cause! Really like this and don't think I would change a thing.

Cardinals are my favorites and a bit elusive, at least for me they are. This is an awesome shot, so funny how his feathers are sticking straight up on his head. lol Beautiful bright color and the black markings are so pretty as well. Great job.

Ha! This photo made me smile as soon as I seen it. Great close up detailing markings around the face and the spiked feathers on the head make this photo a very interesting piece. Its always nice to see nature up close in a photo like this because for a lot of us, this is as close as we can get to wildlife. Thank you for sharing!!

Stunning image. The red cardinal against the green background works very nicely. In getting a close up you lose dof. But, you were able to maintain sharp focus on the front of the face and it got slightly softer as you move to the rear. Nice work.
