Everything works...the colors, the clarity, the reflection the light, the log and it's reflection coming out of the water, the placement.

Clarity is great.
Colors are perfect for backdrop,like their reflection in the water.
Composition is good.

Beautiful colors, strong reflections and a great center of interest. This is a very interesting photograph. It could have used a little something more; maybe a little more background or foreground to put the viewer a little more in the midst of the scene, but that is hardly a required a fix. Great shot, you really did capture a cool scene.

Yes, I agreed that this is a nice picture of a blue heron in the waters. The fall colors are all clearly reflected in the waters and the the birds own image as well. Good shot and keep it coming, sir!

Beautiful capture. Such gorgeous colors of fall, and never tired of blue herons. I have never even seen one in person, so you bring me a special take on these exquisite birds! Impressive shot!

I love the contrast in the colours of the heron and the autumn leaves' reflections. As the water is so good for reflections here, I think it would have been nice to see the whole reflection of the heron too as I think it would have just added that bit more to the picture. Really good image though!

Wonderful Shot as usual! No not sick of Heron pictures, you have a tendency to make them different and beautiful at the same time. Background colors and reflection are Great. Sharpness and focus

This is stunning Willie. A good composition with the Heron and stump on opposite thirds. Rich vibrant colours make up most of the image but this is balanced by the more muted colour of the bird. I am tempted to remove the coloured spots on the water though. Mitch
