Thank you! This is selective color. I changed it to black and white and brought in the color!

Thanks! There is nothing fake about this! Any time you shoot a close up like this you will have the background totally out of focus. That is called depth of field. If you did it any other way it would be wrong.

This is an awesome capture of the stunningly beautiful flower.. Your angle is super and I like your focus on the inner part.. The image is so crisp and the flower is so vivid.. The texture of the petals is terrific and I like that buds promising to be as beautiful as the open one.. This is a great entry for this contest and I believe it will be in the first three if not the best one :)

This is great. Wonderful color, detail and composition. I don't know if it would help the photo to make it just a little bit smaller to see the bud and have the petals away from the edges. Still it would be a great photo.
