Since I'm such a visual person, any photo if it's appealing catches my eye. You've got a great blend of subjects on the front and text that doesn't distract from them. This is a well laid out presentation. One you should be most proud of! Great work!

I liked this very much. The front photos were sized and placed correctly and each photo was mesmerizing. My interest was piqued and what I especially liked was the simplicity of the directions graph. Nice, clear lines, easy to read and precise with date, time and place. I do have some experience in this arena and this work is perfect for its' intended purpose.

    Orienne,

thanks, coming from you and your background that is really a very nice compliment, and I will not forget your encouraging words as I do more postcards in the future. As you know there are two sides ( Besides how they lay them out! LOL) to doing them or any advertising what you think would work best and then what the client thinks and wants, I think in this case we communicated and the end results worked very nicely.
    thanks again
    Cheers!

What I want to know is where were your postcards when I was playing tourist in California last year ?? LOL I sent a few to the grandkids but honestly they were disappointing to me after having spent all the time on FAR !
Yes it did catch my attention and yes I wanted to see more.I would have turned it over and then I would have wanted to be there in May ! Nice job !

in my portfolio, or at the various stores and shops around southern california or in the mail asking people to attend the shows. Thanks by the way for that great compliment. Glad you like my work in this arena of commercial art.

Lucien I will give the postcard a 5 star, your photography deserves less than that but your question was the postcard. Very eye catching and arresting. Would make me turn it over. Up here people flock to the botanical gardens, go to the art shows for the wine , food and art in that order

    Snopaw,
are you talking about the backdrop photograph? it was altered to the customers specisfication, to showed the gardens and the not dominate the overall feel of the card. (it was distorted using the photodhop brush programs.) thanks for answering the questions, and the rating it accordingly.
    as always appreciate the inputs.
    cheers!

Yeap! It does make me feel like opening a book to see those images closer. Like turning pages... by putting the information about the art show in the back does leave me with the desire to peak at the show at least out of curiosity and get fresh air out of the house.
Well done! go print!

Very nice ad for the show. It drew the eye to the smaller photos because of the more vibrant colors. At that point you will read the printing. All in all a good ad for the folks that may be interested. The back is--well--the back-- my thoughts...ducilla

O.k. first you picked some very outstanding pictures to use for the bait. It did make me want to turn it over. It was very catchy and made me want to see the rest. The back was perfect and said exactly what I would have wanted to know. Where what and for how long. EXCELLENT my friend

It's a nice front-page of a book. The contents are quiet knowledge fulfilling. The colors look very pleasant and symbolized the heroic keys of many landmark locations.

I find this to be an interesting piece of commercial mixed media. To answer your question I would have to say I would most likely not turn the card over. I feel like there is too much on the front of the card.

    Rafaela,

thank you for taking the time to answer the questions, I quess if there were less images you would feel more drawn to the card? or maybe if the image had been an abstract, of colors and shapes? appreciate the review.
    cheers!

To further answer the question you asked. For me I would be more likely to turn it over if the pictures were not clumped together but rather the words were in the middle with the pictures surrounding the words. Hope that helps some at least.
