Suzanne, I really like the softness of this image with your wet on wet washes. The detail of the rose is excellent with margins clearly seen, the back up singer helps to flush out the story of a rose garden.
The purple blue hues of the dark background further help to pop the gentle pink softness of the rose.
You have good tonal values throughout this image from very dark to very light and many gradients in between giving strength in rendition of your art.
Your long vertical format gives this nobility and strength. Lately, I've been monkeying with square format and find that square often and surprisingly really holds the viewers eyes within the canvas.

Excellent use of watercolors. I love the blended background which really pushes forward the beautiful, delicately painted pink roses. The way you have painted the blush on the different layers of the petals is wonderful. Great color, lighting effects and composition. Thank you for sharing.

i love your details of the rose.you really design it with a touch of class.the colors and the lighting of different shades of color light works well.i'm not crazzy about water color,but you done a very nice painting with it.it has good focus.nicely done.
