This is a great image.

I love the colors and details soo much.

At first glance I almost thought that this was a photo.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Wow, here's another surprise! lol Have you seen the work of Clever Art yet? This creation reminds me of his work. This is quite lovely!! Hope one day to be able to do just a smidgen of quality like this. Like the overall softness of this painting. The evergreens are done so well and like them marching up the hill. Like the idea of the fog/mist in the distance yet you can still see the trees in the background. An overcast kind of day. Like your bank with the grass and flowers and that whell lying along the bank and the idea of the sun beating down in that spot is lovely. Like how the yellow is darker on the other side of it from the reflection of the trees. Wonderful job with the water. That's so hard to do. Lovely color reflected in it and enjoy the division of color in it. The tree is lovely. Like how you bring out the character of it for the most part and the lovely leaves. The rock and the seeds littering the water give another kind of textured look and color. Whew...really a lovely painting! Enjoyed it very much. Annie

Thank you so much, Annie. Your name here reminds me of Apple Annie. Don't know whether you saw the movie or not. Thanks again for the positive review.

Hi Shawn,

What an excellent picture. I have dabbled myself in digital art but have never produced anything I was happy with. I was convinced this was a painting until I read your caption. I'd give you a six but it has dissappeared of my score list. So unfortunately I can only give you a five.

Regards

Stu

I'm not sure how you accomplished this but this is an excellent piece. The colors are warm and realistic. The wagon wheel and the dirt road on the mountain side are nice touches a lot of people wouldn't think about. The bring personality into being for this picture. The reflective quality of the water is nearly perfect. My only critique would be that the pines in the forefront look a little too perfectly spaced and sized. Just a little too perfect. Other than that, a masterpiece.

Thank you, swftfox, for the glowing review. As far as how I did it...it is all hand painted in Paint Shop Pro 9, and mostly with the smudge brush. And that's the beauty of digital art...the trees are a snap to fix. Again, thank you.
