Fantastic narrative of a log time ago - your style is accurate and the way she is expressing in this scene is very special - fantastic proportions, wonderful way she is placed in this frame - your pencil technique is stunning in shadow and light application creating the most natural tissue flow, details on skin, clothing and furniture, a very realistic presentation with excellent style - life style memory and perfection in details

splendid work, thanks for sharing

Very effective and your skill with pencil is shown here in some detail. The face and eyes keep you looking and studying the work.

You reckon? I got the impression that she was thinking ahead and the photographer had better beware.

Thanks for sharing it 😀👍

Yes, I believe that she would be thinking that. But it wasn't a photographer, it was an artist.

This is so very beautiful. What amazes me is the skill in rendering the leather sofa, and the feel of the weight of her body within it. You have subtly and beautifully captured her face, arms/hands and the rendering of the clothes is stunning. I love how you have captured her face, her expression.

You know, Maureen, when I was drawing the sofa, I didn't know how I was going to get the feel of the polished leather. I actually prayed for God's help, and it just happened. Every picture has it's challenges, and I always pray.Thank you Maureen, for your very special review.

I never start any work without prayer. I want Him with me and I always feel grateful when it's done.

How many different hard or soft pencils did you use? Excellent quality in the shimmer in the chair. The belt looks reflective. Fine attention to detail. How did you create the black background?

First of all, Thank you. Second, I use a mechanical pencil and a blending stub. That's all. I get the background with the pencil.

Lady Linda, this is as real as it gets with a pencil in your gifted hand! Wow!
Your drawings are so photo like. You created such realism in her eyes, the delicate features of her face, the creases in her clothing and leather chair she sits in are all so amazing. The hours put into each and every detail shine through. Your hands Dear Lady were Kissed by God and you use your gift well.
My only wish is that the photography of your pieces gave the true justice they deserve.
Beautifulous work!

This is amazing!! You have a real gift for drawing -- and seeing fascinating faces! Her body language also reinforces that look on her face. Nice fabric work!
