How wonderful and well executed. I have a wonderful painting on my wall done in this same genre and it's one of my favorite. A friend of mine did it and gave it to me as a gift. Not many people do this kind of art and I think it is so dynamic. Great job. Great imagery, shading, balance, details. Very well done. Wish I had a 6 for you. People have no idea what goes in to one of these pieces. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful piece.

I like the over all ideal. Would have like to see a bit more details in the riders face and
the placement moved over the the left side as so that he is riding into the frame and not out. Otherwise Great job!

    Paul,
yes I see your point, but then again it looks like he is moving through the image and to the right, it helps with the illusion of action, don't you think?

Lucien, I thought that very thing after I did that. I have a Rodeo photo I
did and it has a lot of blur. Some like it and some don't care for it for the very same reason. I thought well that is how I wanted to shot it and have it come out. I tell them I wanted to capture what I thought the ride must feel like. I broke a horse one time and boy I know how it feels....
I saw I broke him but I think just as much he broke me! lol
I guess my knowledge of the traditional art media is so limited that I just did not take the time to think. I need to go back and see if I cant rasise the ratings on it. So I ask that you forgive me....I will upload my image soon and hope that you will see it and tell me what you think...
The photo is call......A wild ride.
    Thanks for writing me.

    Best Wishes

The drawing contains many unique textural impacts that flow in to the depths with the nice story telling. The shading flows really smooth on the detailed parts.

Hi Lucien. This is a very well-executed Pointillist representation, especially in terms of its nicely balanced, dynamic composition and compelling story. I would add, however, that Pointillism was actually a very short-lived form of art in which the scientific application of color optics was used to convey impressionistic points of view. The chief proponents of this early 1900's form, Segantini and Signac, actually employed the properties of color frequency in order to fool the eye into seeing images based upon optic integration (how the eye perceives textures at a distance). In short, Pointillism was rarely used as a monochromatic expressive form, yet this latter variant of Pointillism actually made its way into the realm of magazine illustration and editorial cartoons. Very well done and thank you for sharing.--Dr. Carlton

This is an awesome work of art. You sure did do a lot of little dots to get the detail in this. I really like the action you have captures in this one. An excellent and beautiful work of art. I really like the way you have done the horse.

Wow, Lucien, this is SWEET! I'm always amazed at the detail you're able to get just using dots. It was an honor to be a part of this one! Nicely done,

You did an outstanding job with this drawing. You're technique is incredible. You've done so well that it seems so lifelike. Fantastic details and great expression on the horse and rider. You've really shown emotion in both. I really like this. You have incredible talent. Fantastic job.
