I am already wading in the water right below one of the palm trees. What a great shot. I love the tropical setting. This is a beautiful photo. wow

Such motion in this piece! The leaning tree even accentuates the feeling of being BLOWN! Great contrast with the sky and I like just the little touch of ocean. VERY nice.

Nice storytelling and initial impact on this shot. It dramatically shows a storm is approaching with great color, action and composition. Well done.

this is a wonderfully dramatic shot, full of action and wonderful colour. very different to the usual island idyll! I would maybe have cropped a bit more of the foreground to lose the breaking wave on the right which is too small to have a meaningful impact. Just a small criticism otherwise great!

Thank you very much for your insightful review. You are absolute right with the "small criticism". I saw it myself. The concept of the picture was different. The wave should have crashed onshore were the line of sea weeds is[do you see the wet sand? The wave just rolled back]. That was the plan but nature decided otherwise. All other pictures I toke were ruined by water or salt spots on my camera. A half hour later were land under were I was standing. I tryed to crop the bottom part but now I got a tropical beach with a little wind. Since I wanted something else than the 'usual idyll' or the usual storm picture I decided to post this one for the contest.

This must be a very windy day, I like the fact that you can see the sand, blowing. The coconut trees are a great feature. The sky is a nice blue. Thank you for sharing.

A very nice photograph... I think you captured nature at it's best. The composition is very good and the eye flows all across the picture. You can almost feel like you could be swept off your feet.
Nice job.

I can feel those winds rushing through the falm trees and the colors in the sky add to the story told by your photo. Makes me think I should get inside real quick. Good job.
