What a clever idea to use a flashlight! This is a very creative shot! I'm impressed that you could hold the camera with one hand and shoot, while holding the flashlight in the other hand! Nice angle and great composition. I think the focus is a little soft, but I'm still impressed by the whole shot.

Thank you very much for your friendly review. Yes the focus is soft but this was intentional. The "'lames' won't come out right with more focus. I tryed it.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for the friendly Re. I apologise too. You probably saw my mistake already. [The 'lames' are 'flames'] I really have to pay more intention what I write. Sorry

Very beautiful job! I really like how the flowers are illuminated in the middle, it draws the viewers eyes right at them. It looks a little too blurry to me and the lighting might be a little too dark. Other than that I really like it. It also looks to me like fire middle of the front flower. Good job :)

Thank you very much for your kind review. The blurry appearance and the darkness are intentional to get the effect of the 'flames'. This effect doesn't accur with more light or sharper focus.

This is lovely. the effects you have given to this have worked well here. Good job with the presentation and the use of the effects in the mixed media!

Thank you so very much for your kind and generous review. But I swear there is no Mixed Media involved. The effect is do to the use of light and the intentional slightly out focus capture. I admit that I band the rules of photography a little.

I apologize as I thought I saw the category as a mixed media! I guess I better pay more attention to what it says there! In any case, you have done a fabulous job with this!

Thanks a lot!

What a gorgeous flower. I love how the dark background illuminates the color of the flower and you are right, the flash and soft view do give the center the appearance of flames. Great capture

Wonderful focus of color. It really looks like flame of fire. Hot but not burn; the great temptation.
I adore the way you use the technique. Learn much from you :)
