Sorry to hear about Polly, the artistic work in oils, has always intrigued me.
The colors are highlighted in how the white was used.

Beautiful use of framing with the dog in the bottom left of image and appropriate balance of sand sea and sky, like the direction of the wave crashing to partially divide the frame. Polly looks like she was a sheepdog? So sad to hear that she has passed. Hope reviving the image only brought back happy memories for you :-)

A lovely oil colour technique.
Great treatment of the water, from the roll of the wave coming in to the splashes on the shallows. Polly looks like she enjoyed her day on the beach. They are a member of the family, and when we lose them is painful. We can only know we gave them a good life.

Another wonderful ocean painting with your lovely dog now an angel watching over you - a super reproduction of your picture - the colors are stunning n deepness and saturation, the rocky red sand is exceptional and the wave gave you a great moment with much movement - super detail work on the ocean itself the different nuances of blues for the deepness - the rolling waves running on the beach is fantastic and excellent in composition and fines elaboration , your dog is special and fits perfectly showing his love for the water having fun with it - a super work again ,well executed and perfect in all levels , super job, thanks for sharing

The foreground is just fantastic! Getting the rippling effects of light on water is no easy chore! You did it excellently! Also like the warm blues and misty distances in the top half of the painting! You have a real talent in using colors well and harmoniously! Keep it up!

You are so very talented.Love this beautiful scene and most of all you have done a splendid job with very attractive colours.The colouring of the sea is very good.You have used the darker colour at the horizon and the waves with stokes of various colours.The surf and the water retreating from the sore looks so very good .The reflection of the dog in water is splendid.And the bright light and shadows are done so very well.Super indeed.
